My name is Yishan Cheng, a rising sophomore at Duke University. I plan to double major in Chemistry with a concentration in pharmacology and Biology.
I work on cancer stem cells (specifically with respect to CML) in the Pharmacology/Cancer Biology department under Dr. Tannishtha Reya. This is the third lab I have worked in. Junior and Senior year of high school, I did research in a biophysical chemistry lab at the University of Chicago (where we were published!), and during my freshman year, I was a research assistant in a neuroscience and behavior lab.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading science fiction and kungfu novels, playing the piano, logic puzzles, cross-stitching, and watching House M.D.
